French lawmaker Nathalie Goulet said the French Senate should create a new committee to investigate crypto assets, citing the risks associated with crime and financial instability in opaque markets. Goulet said the senators do not have the technical knowledge to deal with topics such as the recently agreed Markets in Crypto Assets (MiCA) legislation in the European Union, or related topics on how to tax the industry. I'm not sure there are 10 senators today who can "understand" the issue of cryptocurrency policy. Nathalie Goulet is a member of the third-largest centrist political group in the Senate.
